The licensor is Observed Presence LLC, on behalf of photographer Stephen E. Rossi, who owns the copyright. Each license covers one photograph, is non-exclusive and non-transferable, and grants only the uses described. All other rights are reserved. Not included under any of them: use in a logo or trademark; products, merchandise or anything for resale; sublicensing; and use of the photograph to train AI or machine-learning systems. You may resize and crop to fit your layout; other alterations and composites need written permission. Photographs of identifiable people are available under the classroom license only.

Classroom & student

Free · archive images

Students, teachers and researchers may use the 1600px classroom file in lessons, coursework, school presentations, theses and non-commercial academic talks, including on class sites and learning platforms that require a login. Keep the credit in the corner, and where the work appears online, credit “© Stephen E. Rossi / observedpresence.com” with a link if you can. Not included: anything commercial or paid, publication (including textbooks and journals), public websites outside a course, and removing or covering the credit. Collection images are not available under this license.

Presentation

$39 archive · $79 collection · one year

The business named at checkout may use the photograph in slide decks, talks, pitches, training materials and internal documents, presented live or shared directly with an audience (including as a PDF of the deck), for one year from payment. Not included: advertising, websites and social media, printed materials for distribution, broadcast, and recorded video published online. Decks shared during the year may remain in recipients’ hands afterwards; don’t present them again after the term without renewing.

Website & social

$195 archive · $395 collection · per year, renews automatically

The business named at checkout may use the photograph on its own website, blog and email newsletters, and in its organic (unpaid) social media posts and profiles, worldwide, for as long as the license is active. Not included: paid or boosted advertising, print of any kind, and use by any other business, client or affiliate. Credit is appreciated but not required.

Automatic renewal

This license is a yearly subscription. It renews automatically each year at the price shown at checkout ($195 for archive images, $395 for collection images) and is charged to the card you used, until you cancel. You’ll receive a reminder email before each renewal. You can cancel anytime online, using the link in your receipt or renewal reminder; cancelling stops future renewals, and the license stays active until the end of the year you’ve paid for. When the license ends, remove the photograph from your website within 30 days; social posts published while it was active may remain. If a renewal charge comes through that you didn’t intend, contact us within 14 days and we’ll refund it.

Delivery and refunds

Presentation files are available to download right after payment. Website files are delivered by email within one business day. If you haven’t received your file, you may cancel for a full refund; after delivery, fees are non-refundable.
