Wall Statement

They arrive in stillness and leave in motion. The flamingo does not perform — it simply exists at the edge of attention, occupied entirely with the business of being itself. These photographs were made at close range and at rest, in the moments between display and departure when the bird forgets it is being watched.

What emerges is not the flamingo of postcards and color — it is something more interior. Neck looped back into feather. Leg raised in a geometry that looks deliberate but isn't. One eye, half-visible, regarding nothing in particular. The flamingo at rest is stranger and more compelling than the flamingo in flight.
