Wall Statement

Something has shifted in the processing — contrast pushed until the tonal range collapses, grey surrendering to either black or white, the swan becoming pure mark against pure ground.

These are no longer photographs in the conventional sense. They operate closer to printmaking, to ink, to the calligraphic tradition where the gesture of a brushstroke carries more meaning than the thing it depicts. The neck becomes a question mark, a musical note, a figure from a language not yet identified.
